I will try to find out some local events.  It will be great to advertise it somewhere to get some older kids.

Sunday is fine. i would like some older kids to be involved as well so the group could be less parent directed, but lets start and see where we go!

Lets try to find local events that could be good volunteer opportunities for children.

perhaps we could advertise this somewhere?? On the main site? lets try to see what we can do:)

How about we do a park day s oon where we could discuss details with the parents that r interested

I would like to do ideally get at least 5-10 children of all ages to join

make it a child ran group where they pitch in ideas , plan and with our guidance and help figure out what needs to be done, brought and planned.

children can pitch in their own ideas and eventually have it ran by children independant of us except to help with what they need

im all for independant thinking and leadership skills and building self esteem:)

lets see who else wants to help and get going asap!

Anyone want to help to organize a "kids volunteer club"??

something ive been wanting to do in the area. most cities dont even do anything like this but getting kids involved early helps develop their sense of community and compassion

some ideas would be a beach cleanup day

park cleanup day

making crafts to sell and donate money to local causes or charities

who wants to help?

Tonight I am having an auction on our facebok fan page and all proceeds of any products bought form our store will be given to a little girl who was foudn severly beaten at her home. She is 24 months old and was found with a broken femur, inside bruising all over her body, and possibly a dislocated shoulder or elbow. She is in protective services right now but will be released into custody to her cousins. They will welcome her with open arms but do not have everything they need for the baby! They still need help finding a crib, car seat, and clothing. They financially dont have much so im tyring my best to what i can to get her everything she needs! This friday I will be delivering the items people have donated or will donate to the family. If you are interested in donating, please visit our facebook fan page!

This little girl has gone through enough. Help me give her the best things she needs so she can finally be the happy baby she should be.

Any moms or dads out there not sure what to do with clothes kids have outgrown? Send them to Zearly!! They send you a postage paid box, you send it back & get points to redeem for gift certificates to places such as Amazon, Target, Walmart & more!! You can also shop Zearly for clothes on their site and purchase more points if you want!! So it's like getting $$$ for your kids' gently used clothing!! Check it out at www.zearly.com & use promo code "EP20PO" for 20% points & clothing purchases through 6/1/11!! Some clothing is washed and sold and some is donated to charity!!

Hi everyone,
I would definitely like to help out in any way if it is possible to do it from home. Also I have a 4 year old who I would like to introduce to making a difference. Any thoughts will be appreciated

Hi Everyone,

You may have seen/heard about this organization, NeedItKeepIt.org. (www.needitkeepit.org) Sounds like such a positive way of making a difference. I absolutely want to try it...looking for others who might want to get together for an hour and pass out envelopes. Any takers?
